Runny makeup? Feathery lipstick? Mascara fails? The struggle to get our makeup right never ends. No matter how well you’ve got your beauty routine down, you always have room for improvement.

The creative directors of Body of Royalty, a luxurious line of American-made cosmetics, are just as much about technique as they are about creating super-luxe cosmetics. Need to remedy a makeup malady? Read up on their tips to get a perfectly put-together look.

How To Apply Primer. “When it comes to primer, less is more,” the experts stressed. “Use just a small, pearl sized amount on the lips and around the eyes to highlight your beautiful features,” the experts advised.

The whole purpose of primer is to prevent eyeshadow from dripping or smudging. Are you guilty of being a bit heavy-handed with this product? Body of Royalty pros advise you to rethink your application technique. “Apply a very thin layer with fingertips or a sponge and blend beyond the line of your lips and eyelids,” they said.

How To Apply Lipstick. Don’t you hate when your lip color starts to run, fade or flake? Even the prettiest of shades aren’t safe from these unfortunate effects. “Lipstick can be tricky when trying to get the perfect look,” our pros acknowledged. “Always make sure that lips are properly exfoliated and use the right color for the moment. If you’re going for a more classic look, you should stick to a nude or a sophisticated red,” they suggested.

How To Apply Mascara. Mascara always looks great when you first apply it, and then your eyes suddenly start to resemble a raccoon’s hours later. “Use a mascara that is guaranteed to add volume, and don’t neglect the lower lashes,” the founders stressed.

Additional mascara tips we personally have come to live by include opting for a water-resistant formula in case your eyes tear a lot. And be sure to let the mascara dry in between applications by waiting about 15-20 seconds.

Fake A Summer Tan Like A Celebrity: How To Get The 'JLo Glow' This Summer

Products come and go, but the essential must-have for every summer? That coveted sun-kissed glow.

While a spray tan is a safer alternative to hours of basking in the sun’s harmful rays, the mess and mistakes that can come with self tanners might seem just as painful as an actual sunburn.

To avoid those common at-home tanning disasters, we hit up spray tanning expert to the stars and founder of Infinity Sun, Veronique Munro. With this golden wealth of knowledge, you’ll be guaranteed an even glow with no clean up required.

Stay Streak Free. The struggle to keep your tan on your skin and not your clothes is real. “To avoid this mess, always take out a hair dryer before applying, as bending can also create smudges where wet skin overlaps,” Munro wisely advised.

The tanning pro continued, “Use cool air to dry the sunless tanner onto skin. Now you’re free to get dressed but try to stick to somewhat loose and dark clothing.”

Fake Tan Flawless. To prevent spotty mistakes, Munro suggests to take a little bit of moisturizer and apply a very light film to trouble spots (knuckles, feet, elbows) and allow it to absorb into the skin.

The tanning pro says this will act as a barrier in those areas. “Then apply your sunless tanner and the dry areas will not develop any darker than the rest of the body,” she said.

Lighten Up A Little. There are actually smart ways to remove that extra tanner. Simply fill a bath with warm water and essential oil (like lavender or eucalyptus). Then in a cup, mix ½ cup of baking soda and the juice of one lemon into a paste.

“The lemon will bleach the color out of the skin, as will the baking soda. The paste will act as a strong exfoliant,” Munro explained. “Now you can scrub away the color, sit in the essential oil and get soft, silky and lightened skin,” the glow pro stated.

The 25-year-old “Hunger Games” star is the new face of the men’s scent and will appear in an advertising campaign launching in Europe this July, writes WWD. The first image from the campaign shows Liam leaning against a fire escape, dressed in tight jeans, a black T-shirt, a leather jacket and moto boots, James Dean style. An additional behind-the-scenes photo via E! Online shows Liam in a white T-shirt, jeans and boots.

“A brave man is characterized by his strength, his determination and, above all, for his ability to live courageously, following his own rules. I think that Liam embodies these qualities, and I’m happy to have him as the face of Only the Brave,” Andrea Rosso, Diesel’s creative director for licenses, told WWD.

E! Online points out that Liam will be the first celebrity to star in a men’s fragrance campaign for the brand, which usually uses unknown models instead of household names.
